I appreciate the addition of projects made in Keynote since our teachers are already comfortable with that application due to Big Cats. Addressing the comfort level of teachers was great!

Last year, MediaFest started as a dream, as a way to showcase our district's use of technology and to say "Thank You" for the support of our community. This year MediaFest will take on a new direction, showcasing our students' Grades 3-12 and teachers technical achievements and efforts to REACH using 21st century tools of moviemaking. Moviemaking has become an incredible phenomenon of communication. It's popularity has increased with the evolution of Web 2.0 Internet tools, ease of production, collaborative nature, and overall just plain fun and entertaining! It is important that we as educators guide the messages of digital citizenship, encourage each other and our students to produce quality content that positively impacts our culture and society.
Students will need Teachers sponsors to oversee their moviemaking efforts!
Movies may be in any subject and any length, but must have an educational focus, be interesting and of high quality throughout.
March 13- Deadline for all School Movie Nominations to be uploaded to the pTunes server, and Student and Teacher Entry forms electronically submitted. Email Jackie Guzman that movies are in pTunes server.
